A universal goal of any band is to reach the maximum number of listeners as possible. Simply having just a few friends and fans that enjoy the noise you're making is rewarding beyond measure. People coming and telling you their favorite songs and favorite instrumental breaks within your material is an absolute gem of an experience. The concept of strangers down the street, strangers out of state, or strangers in another country not only knowing about your band, but truly enjoying your art and requesting media and merchandise from you is yet even more unfathomable. We in Arsena have accomplished these wonderful feats, and we're forever grateful; We also continue to strive and work for ourselves and for our fans to keep this hype and excitement coming.
In the summer of 2020, our band had a two-week long tour lined up, however as we all know, an unforeseen global crisis put a stop to that. In lieu of this news, we decided to keep working and continue channeling our creativity in whatever avenue felt most appropriate to us. This avenue made itself known as a collection of four fast tunes that we recorded and released that year called "Dawn Of The Second Sun". The feedback, connections, and inspiration we received from such a swift and sudden project was astounding. The unfortunate reality is that after its release, the world was still shut down due to the ongoing pandemic. What else were we to do but persist in our creative endeavors?
We decided to dedicate ourselves to a full length release this time around, pulling on inspiration similar to what we had drawn from on our previous project. This compilation of songs was formed from a culmination of old, unfinished material each of us hadn't worked on in years, other complete songs that weren't fully fleshed out yet, and plenty of brand new riffs and concepts. As expected with any sequential project from a band, we feel our songwriting has improved heavily in characteristics such as catchy hooks and unique tones, as well as portraying a cohesive concept from beginning to end.
Blood Rusted Mother Earth is a monumental effort from us to you. We've poured tons of effort, love, soul, and passion into this record, and we can't wait to hear all of your thoughts, as well as see where we will be headed next after the reception of this album. Also, rest assured... We've already got more material in the works.
